Community Rules for Rebels and Cops
Basic Rules
- Treat players how you wish to be treated and listen to the staff.
- Please don't spam in text chat or voice chat.
- Don't abuse loopholes (Rules, Glitches, Exploits). Report bugs to the staff for a reward.
- Advertisement of other servers in any form is not allowed. ∙ Mentioning another server is not inherently advertising.
- Racism will result in a warning and then perm mute.
- Cheating in any way, shape, or form will result in a ban or probation. (Aimbot/Wallhack/Speedhack/Hacking/Automated Gameplay Scripts)
∙ Saying that you are going to another server and/or inviting others could be considered advertising if the intent is to get players off the server.
As a Rebel, you will need to understand the following:
- Don't punt spam with the gravity gun on doors or other immovable objects.
- Try to avoid RDMing players under 5 hours. ∙ It's fine if a new player walks into your SLAM as long as you didn't intentionally place it to kill them specifically.
- Do not intentionally disconnect or suicide in combat.
- Do not doorblock with your body, items, use key, or buttons. ∙ This rule applies to other moving objects including elevators, lifts, etc...
- No spawn, taxi, or zone camping. (AFK, NoKillZone, etc.)
- Do not bind food, medkits, or suit items.
- You can only own one house but may have keys to others.
As a Combine, you will need to follow these rules to keep your Cop status:
- Don't RDM players who have not hurt you before your current spawn. ∙ If it is clear that a player tried to shoot you, you may attack them even if they didn't cause any damage.
- Rebels in the PD are Kill on Sight unless otherwise noted by a door.
- AFKing as cop is not permitted!!
- Cuff/UnCuff and Jailing is at 800 crime.
- Kickdoor is at the bounty, currently 2,500 crime. You are only allowed to kick the doors necessary to get the criminal.
- Favoring as cop/admin is not tolerated whatsoever.
- Do not unjail other cops' cuffs.
- You have two chances as a cop to not break rules. Whether you lose cop forever depends on the severity of abuse and at the jurisdiction of the server owner and admins.
- As a cop, you must ensure new players are helped. A generous reward will be given to cops per new player who stays.
∙ You cannot help other cops who get attacked unless you were also attacked by the same player.
Players in Factions (formerly known as Gangs) must follow the additional guidelines:
- Faction leaders must display a unique tag at the start or end of their name to represent their faction (up to 5 characters long, preferably surrounded by [] or other bracket types).
- All faction members must use the same tag as their faction leader.
- Players cannot use faction tags in their name without permission from the respective faction leader.
- Faction leaders must use their house as a base for their faction, and can only share keys to their base with members of their faction.
- Factions can only have up to 8 members (and only 1 can be an admin).
- Only rebels can show allegiance to a faction (cops, if in a faction, cannot help their faction in any way).
- Players can only be in 1 faction at a time.
Server Propping Rules (for Staff and Users)
I. Props and Propping in a House, Home, Base, or Area.
- Defense and Coloring:
∙ Transparent or colored Props must be easily identified upon entering a home.
∙ Propping must allow direct shots for both Attacker and Defender during combat.
- Entrance/Exit Accessibility:
∙ An entrance/exit is defined as a door that leads outside the base.
∙ Entrances/exits of a house, home, base, or area cannot be designated as crouch-only. Additionally, the entrance/exit
must be accessible on foot, without the use of jetpacks, noclip, prop climbing, or relying solely on jumping.
∙ Props positioned beside, near, or close to an entrance/exit of your base must maintain a certain
distance from the entrance/exit itself (a minimum of 2 player lengths is acceptable). A prop on the side of doors is allowed, but front-facing in which can block is not.
- Multiple Entrances/Exits:
∙ A base with multiple exits is allowed to have all but one door blocked.
∙ All areas of your base must be accessible on foot, without the use of jetpacks or noclip.
- Propping Interference:
∙ Any interference with propping is strictly prohibited. Penalties for such actions may include a bank fine,
kick from the server, temporary ban, or placement in VIP jail.
II. Prop Supply & Spawning.
- Hiring or requesting a Propper:
∙ Props in your house can be persistent across map restarts if saved by a propper.
∙ Compensating proppers for their work is not mandatory but is strongly encouraged.
- Admin-Provided Props:
∙ Admins have the authority to provide props to all players, with associated costs for acquisition.
∙ Props unavailable for purchase from a vendor can be spawned by administrators.
- Prop Manipulation and Restrictions:
∙ Admins or designated proppers are authorized to save, remove, color, or rotate props upon player request, ensuring customization within the established guidelines.
∙ Players have a maximum of 10 props, with an additional +3 for VIP members.
